In your Jeans

If you are anything like me, and let's face it we can't be too different, then you have a love/hate relationship with Jeans. Maybe it has something to do with my size. I am "plus size" and really short and have trouble finding jeans that fit without having to go to a tailor (or my mom). And that's not to say that going to a tailor is an omen, let's face it, clothing items rarely have that "perfect fit" and a tailor is a brilliant investment.  I think though, that the whole "can't pull off jeans" thing is because I always felt boring in them, like I was lying about who I am. Seriously, it sounds dumb, but think about it, what is that one item of clothing that you put on and don't feel like yourself in? Maybe it's dresses or skirts, or ugly Christmas sweaters or crop tops. Everyone has that one thing that they just don't feel comfortable in, and it hasn't nothing to do with fit. I've developed a pretty typical uniform. I found my closet staple the first time I tried on a pair of , slightly harem, soft high-waisted leopard print pants. I now own three pair, all different, and people usually don't recognize me when I'm not wearing them. I just like to be a bit different. And comfortable. Jeans never gave me that satisfaction. But that doesn't mean that they're not great. I really only wear mine to work. And I have found a "perfect fit" in Torrid. Their Jeans are really great, for me, and if you're plus size and having trouble I recommend them highly. I usually get the Stilleto skinny in short, cause I have short legs. I do not have to tailor them AT ALL. I still have trouble finding something to wear them with, that isn't my required work wear uniform, but that's why I'm posting this today: Denim Street Style Inspiration. I have yet to find the perfect pair of high Wasited Jeans, well that's not true, I've found them, but I have yet to acquire the bank account to buy them, I'll post a link and photo of them below.  I have yet to master Denim Shorts, but then again I've never really been that into shorts to begin with. I wear my Denim Jacket almost every other day, I got it at Forever 21, and I haven't worn a Denim Skirt since 2002. I probably never will, even the retro pencil styles are not my thing. Same with overalls, I haven't worn them since I was eight, but would love to acquire a pair, and hopefully not look eight years old in them (Thank God for Tattoos!). But these ladies make it all seem so fucking effortless. Let's take a cue from them. And of course Danielle from We Wore What fashion blog!! Love her spin on things and her trademark overalls!

Love how stylish her kids are. I want that fluffy coat!!

My Fav!!

Asos  also has some great high waisted styles. I haven't personally tried them, but if you have, leave a comment and let me know!! I bought a dress from them for my Grandparent's vowel renewal, got it in my usual size 20, and it drowned me, so perhaps sizing down is an option. Again, not too sure if this applies to their denim.
