I just wanted to show you guys some of my favorite options for dressing up this Holiday Season, all with PUG items. Now some of these items haven't dropped yet, but I'm hoping they will by December 1st.

Without further ado:
Now these are just a tiny bit of options I just randomly loved for this post. Naturally this does combine Thanksgiving and Christmas, and I will probably due a New Years post next month.

Coming Soon

LOVE LOVE LOVE This skirt! Coming Soon!

Perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years! Available Now

Now: I already bought my Thanksgiving dinner dress; I chose something I would wear year round, and I'll post about that too. The Monica is something I've been coveting for YEARS, and will probably be my Christmas dress. Going with Red is a good option for most people; I honestly do not wear it a lot, especially when I dress pin up, but I have been trying to incorporate it more into my wardrobe.

Just Released Yesterday!!!

I will have this gown, probably in all three colorways: Coming Soon

Thanksgiving Dress:
I had a coupe of options in mind and started to troll through my favorite online stores to find the perfect piece. I looked mostly on PUG and Modcloth, and finally went back to my original plan if possibly wearing an Ophelia dress from LindyBop.com
If you don't know about Lindy bop, you should. I'll gladly do an entire post on them later but for now: Lindy Bop is a vintage reproduction clothing company based in the UK. They are famous for their Ophelia Dresses and their Audrey Dresses.
I fell in love with the Ophelia Beige Floral Jive Dress and the Ophelia Black Floral Dress ( as well as the Vivi Dress)

This is the Black Floral.
It's the one I eventually bought. I got it online at Amazon, it was about the same in dollar amount, but I didn't know how fast it would ship, seeing as Thanksgiving is next week ,and needed it very soon. I got the 4X, just to accommodate my chest, the waist is probably going to need some tailoring, which is a UK size 22. I chose this one because of the warm colors plus I know I will wear this again, making it well worth, and practically a steal, for $70 (including express shipping).

Honestly this was my first choice, and I will probably end up buying this one too. I thought it was a great transition dress: it will work for both fall winter and spring, but ultimately, the beige kind of scared me.
The majority of my Pin Up garb is dark and mostly monochrome, meaning I'm making a statement that's not too loud or overt, and I thought I was just get the black one now, and ease into lighter colors in the New Year.
I really love both dresses and can't wait to review the one above when it comes!!

Ophelia

In Act 4 Scene 7, Queen Gertrude, in her monologue (There is a willow grows aslant the brook), reports that Ophelia had climbed into a willow tree, and then a branch broke and dropped Ophelia into the brook, where she drowned. Gertrude says that Ophelia appeared "incapable of her own distress". Gertrude's announcement of Ophelia's death has been praised as one of the most poetic death announcements in literature.
Here are some portraits of Ophelia's death by John Everett Millais, as well as some modern interpretations.
Enjoy.
